HTW – Werkschau

HTW – Werkschau

On July 13 and 14, the University of Applied Sciences (HTW-Berlin) staged its “Werkschau” (workshop) including a variety of interdisciplinary works from both semesters of Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees: Fashion Design, Garment Technology, Industrial Design, Communication Design and Game Design, as well as Museum Management: Preservation, Restoration and Excavation Technique.

The show is not only aimed at students, but also provides visitors with a comprehensive program offering lectures, workshops and open studios.

I found it an excellent way to end up a year’s worth of work. Back in my hometown, my school doesn’t organize anything similar so that students can showcase their achievements to a bigger public than a sole teacher. I always say that’s like being an actor and rehearsing tirelessly a play that is never going to be put up on a stage. I have so many works that have only seen a cupboard or a drawer! So ‘YAY’ to Werkschau!

My class exhibited the work created during our "Nachshooting" (night shoots), so we dimmed down the lights to create atmosphere.
